A cutting edge new urban based release, mixed by 1Xtra DJ Cameo, Sound of The Pirates brings together breaks and beats from the world of Hip-Hop, R & B, Drum and Bass & Grime. A well established name in the DJ world Cameo began playing garage in the late ninties, later developing his skills to become an established producer in the garage scene. More recently, his 1xtra show is one of the most popular on the station, playing a variety of genres including hip-hop, R & B and Garage together with guest spots from some of the biggest UK artists in the scene. On the compilation side he mixed one of the 3 discs for 2005's 'Garage Anthems' as well as A&R several underground compilations.
