    Forceware 72.12 WHQL

    Windows 2000/XP WHQL

    The good folks at the french station drivers stumbled into new ForceWare drivers dated at the 18th of April. The download is a 15 meg sized (after we repacked it) file and does include an easy to install setup.exe in the extracted folder. Should this fail for you, you can always manually install there drivers of course.

    The good news is that it is a WHQL approved driver (Microsoft tested and verified). Even better news is that almost any GeForce graphics cards is supported.

    Although WHQL these drivers are of course considered somewhat beta neither Guru3D.com or NVIDIA will take responsibility if anything fails. We recompressed the archive towards 15 MB. We suggest you give and read feedback on these drivers in our forums where it's being discussed right now in a dedicated thread.

    Quite an interesting new ForceWare driver appeared on 3DChipset today. This 80.40 version adds H.264 hardware decoding to the 7800 series (new sort of MPEG codec) . What's interesting is their is no version number presented in the nv4_disp file. Plus some new entries are apparent in this release too. The C51 chipset by NVIDIA as well as a G72?

    The drivers seem to be valid, have been virus checked and recrunched. They are now 11 MB in size. The files in the archive are dated June 13th.

    Almost any geForce graphics card to date is supported in these drivers. Again, props to 3DChipset for posting these.

    The new Detonator release is out, with a whole lot of loving for SLI folks: nVidia's latest driver releases adds support for nVidia's latest GPUs, it improves Purevideo and OpenGL support, and finally fixes dynamic enabling and disabling of SLI rendering modes.

    This latest set's new releases focus on SLI mostly, with support for bridgeless SLI connectivity of two nVidia GPUs, and cross-card compatibility: cards no longer have to be identical, though the core GPU still has to be the same.
